Email sign-up on the Results page: collect emails after the results

Let customers see their recommendations first, then leave their email in an optional sign-up on the Results page.

Written by Traian

The email sign-up on the Results page lets your customers see their recommendations first and then leave their email if they'd like to hear from you. It's optional for the customer: they can ignore it and still shop their results.

This is different from the Optin Page, which is a separate step that asks for the email before the results are shown. You can use either one, or both: when a customer already gave their email on the Optin Page, the sign-up on the Results page isn't shown to them.

Turn on the email sign-up

  1. Open your quiz in the Quiz Builder.

  2. Click Results Page in the left-hand side menu.

  3. In the menu on the right, open Email Sign-up.

  4. Check Show an email sign-up on the Results page.

  5. Publish your quiz so the change goes live.

The sign-up appears below the results. To place it somewhere else, for example right under the headline, open Page Layout in the same menu and drag Email sign-up to its place. Find out more in Reorder your Results page with Page Layout.

The sign-up also works on Results pages that hide the default product recommendations and only show content blocks.

Change the texts

The Email Sign-up menu has four text fields. Leave a field empty to use the default text:

  • Headline: Want your results by email?

  • Subheadline: Leave your email and we'll send you your recommendations.

  • Button text: Send me my results

  • Message after sign-up: Thanks! Check your inbox.

The default texts can be translated in the Translations tab, under Results page. Find out how in Translate or change text in your quiz.

If the default subheadline promises an email, make sure your email tool actually sends one when a customer signs up. The section below explains what each tool receives.

What your customers see

The sign-up always has an email field and a button. Two more parts follow the settings you already use on the Optin Page:

After signing up, the form is replaced by your message after sign-up. The button uses your quiz theme's button style.

The sign-up isn't shown when:

  • The customer already gave their email or phone number earlier in the quiz, for example on an Optin Page.

  • The Results page is opened from a saved or shared results link. That way nobody can add their email to someone else's results. Find out more about results links in Saving and Sharing the Quiz Results Page.

Where the email goes

When a customer signs up, their email, name and consent are sent to your connected email tools, the same way an Optin Page email is. The customer's contact is created or updated with their answers. Klaviyo, Omnisend and Brevo also receive the quiz completion event with the recommended products, so any flow you trigger on quiz completion starts when the customer signs up:

If your quiz creates customers in Shopify, the customer is created when they sign up. Find out more in Shopify Customers.

Some integrations send their data the moment the quiz is finished, which is before the customer can sign up on the Results page. These don't receive the email from the sign-up: webhooks, Zapier, Shopify Flow, Google Sheets and the Meta Conversions API. If one of these needs the email, use an Optin Page instead.

Style it with custom CSS

You can change how the sign-up looks with custom CSS. It uses these classes:

  • .results-email-section: the whole sign-up

  • .results-email-heading and .results-email-subheading: the headline and subheadline (the headline also shows the message after sign-up)

  • .results-email-form: the form

  • .results-email-submit-button: the button

The fields and the consent checkbox use the same classes as on the Optin Page (.name-input-container, .email-input-container, .gdpr-text and so on), so CSS you already wrote for the Optin Page applies here too. To style only the Results page sign-up, start your rule with .results-email-section, for example .results-email-section .gdpr-text. Find out how to add CSS in How to add custom CSS to your quiz.

Using the Lantern assistant

If you build quizzes through the Lantern assistant in Claude or another AI tool, ask it to turn on the email sign-up on the Results page. It can also set the position and the four texts.
