Adding an Optin Page

1. Click on Add Page.

2. Select the Optin Page from the available options.

Show/Hide Page Elements

1. Once the page is added, see customization options on the right-hand side menu.

2. By default, the opt-in page will show the e-mail capture input fields. You can modify this by going under Show/Hide Page Elements and choosing to show the phone number input. If you want to use this as an e-mail capture page, please check out the help article dedicated to it.

3. These fields can be required or not, meaning that quiz takers will be able to move past this page only if they provide the required data inputs.

4. The GDPR checkbox is a useful setting to make sure the data collection in your business follows the correct regional legislation.

Phone Number Settings

This is the most important category if you are looking to gather phone numbers from our customers.

1. Default look

You can start by customizing the look of this input field with a custom Label, Placeholder and selection for the Default Country that you want to show when they reach this page.

In order to select the country, you can simply write the 2-letter country code as you can find in the provided ISO 3166 ALPHA-2 database, by clicking on the link.

2. Input Permissions

If you want to use Klaviyo for example you will have a restriction on the countries that are accepted and you may want to restrict the countries shown in the phone number input field. In order to do so you can simply write down the 2-letter country code of the countries you want to allow separated by coma:

If you want to check what countries are allowed in Klaviyo you can check their documentation her on where is Klaviyo SMS available.

3. Forbidden or preferred countries

Under the Forbidden countries option, similar to the allowed section, you can add a list of 2-letter country codes separated by commas to exclude from the drop down menu of the phone number input field certain countries from which you won’t want to collect data from. This could be helpful for example if you plan to use Zapier to integrate Lantern data with Twilio and use it for SMS marketing. Twilio currently has a short list of blocked countries so you may want to block them in the quiz as well.

Instead of showing all countries in their assigned spot, sorted alphabetically, in the country code list when someone is inputting their phone number, you can use the Countries to show first to show them in a short list at the top after clicking the drop down. For example we can put US and UK there and they will show at the very top in the drop down country code list, on the live quiz page.

General Design Settings

Under General Design Settings, you will find some general width settings to make sure your Optin Page looks good on both Desktop and Mobile.

Button Design Settings

This section offers a lot more customization related to what you want to show as text for the button on the Optin Page and what colors to use for both the background color of the button and the text.

You can also customize the look in terms of the font size, padding, or border radius of the button to make this page as engaging as possible for your customers. All options can be customized separately for Desktop and Mobile.

Integration Settings

By default all 3 Klaviyo options will be checked meaning if people choose to optin by giving their marketing consent either by using the GDPR checkbox or the double optin list option in Klaviyo you will be able to use their info for both marketing and transactional purposes for e-mail and SMS.

This feature provides a seamless way to capture and use phone numbers in your marketing strategy. Whether you use Klaviyo, MailChimp, or Zapier, Lantern ensures easy integration and compliance with SMS marketing regulations.
