Start with AI
We recommend starting with AI if:
You're new to quizzes or still exploring ideas and don't have a clear quiz structure in mind
Your products are relatively simple and don't rely on being sold as heavily personalised routines or bundles
You want to launch quickly
Lantern AI can generate:

Start from Scratch
We recommend starting from scratch if:
You already know exactly what you want to build and have a clear quiz structure in mind
You need very specific product recommendation logic
Your products are complex, heavily customised or work best when sold as a part of a personalised routine or as bundles
You want full control from the beginning
This option lets you build the quiz page by page using Lantern’s built-in themes and customisation settings.
Themes control the overall look and layout of the quiz and are very easy to customise without needing to use any code or CSS.
This is often the best option for stores that already planned their consultation flow, customer journey, or product logic before building the quiz.

Use a Template
Templates are pre-built quizzes with:
Existing layouts
Pre-styled designs
Example questions and answers
Custom CSS and HTML
Templates are designed to help you launch quickly with a polished design.
For example, a wine quiz template could still be reused for coffee or supplements if you like the overall layout and style.
However, templates are more advanced and usually work best if you're comfortable editing content, CSS, or HTML.
In most cases, we recommend:
Deleting the existing example questions
Rebuilding the quiz structure for your own products and logic
If you want something easier to customise, we generally recommend using Themes and starting from scratch instead.
