Lantern Events gives you more detailed information about how customers interact with your quizzes. It includes four analytics panels: Event Stats, Session Timeline, Answer Stats and Drop Off Analytics. Each panel helps you look at a different part of the customer journey.

Lantern’s Google Analytics integration and Advanced Analytics events respect your customers’ analytics cookie consent through Shopify’s Customer Privacy API. If analytics cookies are declined, these events are not tracked, while core Lantern quiz analytics remain unaffected. Learn more in How Lantern Handles Cookie Consent.

Event Stats shows how often specific quiz events happen over time, such as quiz starts, answer submissions and completions. You can use it to identify changes and patterns in quiz activity.

Session Timeline lets you follow an individual customer's journey through a quiz using their Session ID or email address. You can see the questions they viewed, answers they submitted and the results they received.

Answer Stats shows how customers respond to individual questions. You can see which answers are selected most often and compare responses across different quiz versions.

Drop Off Analytics shows where customers leave your quiz before completing it. This can help you identify questions or steps that may need to be clearer, shorter or easier to complete.

Together, these panels help you understand how customers move through your quiz, what they select and where they drop off, so you can identify areas that may need improvement.
