Lantern answer stats

Written by Wendy

Answer Stats shows how customers answer individual questions in your quizzes. You can use it to see which answers are most or least commonly selected and better understand your customers' preferences.

Lantern’s Google Analytics integration and Advanced Analytics events respect your customers’ analytics cookie consent through Shopify’s Customer Privacy API. If analytics cookies are declined, these events are not tracked, while core Lantern quiz analytics remain unaffected. Learn more in How Lantern Handles Cookie Consent.

Accessing Answer Stats

From your Lantern dashboard, open Advanced Analytics from the left-hand menu.

Under Lantern Events, click Explore Events. You'll find Answer Stats in the top right corner.

For our example, we use the quiz "Find your perfect pet food - LIVE" with a question "How old is your pet?". The Answer Stats might show that 56.25% of respondents have Puppy, 25% have a Senior dog, and 18.75% have an Adult dog.

Utilizing Answer Stats for Quiz Optimization

Answer Stats can help you understand which answers customers select most often and identify less common responses.

You can use this information to review your questions and answer choices, understand customer preferences and decide whether any parts of your quiz need adjusting.
