The file upload feature allows customers to upload images, videos, and documents directly within the quiz. This functionality is exclusive to Enterprise plan users, offering unlimited storage and bandwidth without restrictions.

Where to Find the File Upload Feature

You can add the file upload widget in the following pages of your quiz:

  • Question Pages – Allows quiz takers to upload files as part of their responses.

  • Transition Screens – Collect additional media before moving to the next question.

  • Results Page – Provide an option for users to upload files for further evaluation or follow-up.

  • Opt-in Pages – Capture additional user information by allowing quiz takers to upload files along with their email, phone number, or name.

Adding a File Upload Widget on a Quiz Page

The File Upload Widget is available on any quiz page by using Add a Content Block button to add extra content and you can add it in any of the sections where the button is available.

To start adding a File Upload Widget you need to click Add Content Block and in the block you can enable the Include a file upload widget.

Once you click enable, a few extra options are available such as the language you want to display the upload message in and the maximum number of files you want to allow anyone to upload on this page. In our example we can use a limit of 5 files to be uploaded and as language English.

Once you click Save Content Block you can test the functionality in the quiz editor. The element will look and act as you would expect it to do live. You can upload files to test and see if once you upload the max number of files set, you can’t upload anything else. This will be reflected by the missing Add more button on the right hand side corner of the File upload widget. As long as the max limit hasn’t been reached you will still see the Add more button and be allowed to upload more.

The upload process is easy and straightforward for customers as they can drag and drop or click browse files to add their files in the widget. They can upload multiple files, including images, videos, documents, or any other type of files you may need to collect.

Once uploaded, files will display a progress indicator and confirmation when completed.

Adding a File Upload Widget on the Results Page

The File Upload Widget is available on the Results page by using Add a Dynamic Content Block and you can add it in any of the areas where the button is available.

To start adding a File Upload Widget, you need to click Add a Dynamic Content Block and in the block you can enable the Include a file upload widget.

Once you click enable a few extra options are available such as the language you want to display the upload message in and the maximum number of files you want to allow quiz takers to upload.

In our example we can use a limit of 3 files to be uploaded and English as the language. We can customize this Dynamic Content Block to introduce the fact that people can share a picture of their pet to win a special surprise upon the community’s upvote on the photos submitted. This can be an incentive for them to share content that you can use to engage with your audience and use personalized dynamic text to better convert the upload rate. Once this is done click Save Content Block then preview and test.

Similar to adding this widget on a quiz page you can test it either in the Preview mode, at the end of a quiz submission, or in the quiz builder.

To better see the impact of this element for customers we can use the Preview mode and let’s upload a max of 3 files.

When clicking Upload 3 files a progress bar will show the progress on the upload and confirm once it is done.

Viewing and Managing Uploaded Files

Admins can access uploaded files in the Reporting section:

  • Sessions – A new "Uploaded Files" column provides a link to view and download files submitted during a quiz session. Clicking this link redirects you to the Uploaded Files Section.

  • Submissions – Similar to Sessions, this section includes an "Uploaded Files" column that links to the Uploaded Files Section for tracking and managing uploaded content.

  • Uploaded Files Section – A dedicated area where admins can view and download all files uploaded by quiz takers. This section provides a centralized view of all uploaded media.

  • Filtering by Session ID – Locate specific submissions by searching for the session ID.

  • Exclusive to Enterprise Plans – This feature is only available for Enterprise users.
